Lifeplan Financial is hosting a Q&A Town Meeting on November 3rd and 4th on Orcas Island
Premera Blue Cross is stopping coverage to twelve Washington State counties including Skagit County and San Juan County. With coverage being offered in fewer counties, Premera hopes to better manage quality and costs of the counties they are continuing to provide coverage for. The cut is affecting eleven percent, or 17,000 people, of Premera’s 155,000 customers in these counties.
The change will take effect starting January 1st, 2017. Current Premera members are able to change their plans during the fall open enrollment, November 1st to December 15th.
LifePlan Financial is hosting a Q&A Town Meeting to answer any questions that current participants of Premera might have and to help those who wish to enroll in different plans.
These workshops will take place on November 3rd and 4th at 596 Main Street Eastsound, WA on Orcas Island.
Please note that in San Juan County, only Group Health will be offering plans on the exchange.
